Why do I my knit fabrics keep getting caught in the feeder foot of my Brother sewing machine? I have a Brother XL-3750. When I sew with knit fabrics, they keep getting caught in the feeder foot, resulting in a hole in the fabric. My machine has several stretch stitches. I've tried several of them, and a few different fabrics, but keep having the same problem. Am I doing something wrong, or could this be a problem with my machine that I need to get fixed?
you have to stretch knits slightly while you sew. otherwise, I don't know, but you should try posting in another category. i think there is a hobby section, and subsection crafts. There are some people that give super excellent answers there. and are you sure you are using the right kind of needle. i have the best luck with a schmetz all purpose, frankly. i mostly use a serger for knits because it is way easier. but that's another machine to buy and to learn how to use.
