how to adjust the carburetor on a Husqvarna 359 chainsaw? I own a 359 Husqvarna chainsaw and would like to know how to adjust the carburetor, I can start it but as soon as I depress the throttle it stalls out and quits. what to so and what to check?
As others have said, make sure that the fuel is fresh, air filter is clean etc. Now, when did this problem start? Did it just start on its' own or was it caused by you adjusting the carburetor? How about the fuel filter? Is it clean? The basic way to adjust the carburetor is to gently scew both the hi and low speed jets all the way in, remember, gently. Now back them out about a turn and a half. That should allow you to start the engine and let it warm up. Adjust the low speed jet until you get the fastest idle. Now with the engine running at high speed adjust the hi speed jet until you get the hightest rpm. If there is a hesitation when you depress the throttle from idle to hi speed, turn the low speed jet out about a quarter of a turn. If the problem is still there you may end up rebuilding the carburetor.
