Stihl gas chainsaw pull start wont pull?
Well, I was cutting down some branches/trees today and after some on-off use my companies Stihl chainsaw on an attempt to start wouldnt pull. The pull string locks about 1/2 inch out and wont move. Dont know why but really could use some help.
You need to start stripping down the pull mechanism, it's just screws and nuts, and easy to reassemble once you free the jam. If you're not comfortable doing this, take it to your local dealer (doesn't need to be a Stihl dealer), it's an easy and cheap fix.
