Stihl ms 290 farm boss, chain wont turn?
I was cutting a big tree today and the chainsaw got pinched between the 2 sides. i turned it off and did not struggle to try and cut the rest of the way out. we got the saw out of the tree and cranked it back up but the chain would not rotate. it cranked up fine and ran good and sounded good but the chain seems to be locked up. how can i fix this
Did you pull the chain brake back to the home position?
This is the shield-like device right in front of where you hold the upper hand grip.
It should 'click' to the home position and release the brake.
