What cordless/battery operated trimmer/edger (weed-eaters) are the best?
Looking for a good (but not too expensive) battery operated cordless trimmer (weed eater) for trimming the lawn. Saw infocommercial for the lithium Worx GT and it looks great but all the reviews are like 50/50.anyone have any suggestions? I just need something easy to use and light weight for a little light trimming around flower beds, but tired of hauling around the extention cord on my electric trimmer.
I have the Worx and it does the job on light to medium tasks. They're all basically the same except for the name and price. No matter which one you get make sure you get two batteries with it. The only expense is replacing the batteries when they finally wear out and of course the line for the trimmer. Some places will offer free line replacement for just the cost of S/H. You could also buy the thickness of line on a spool and fix it yourself. Rechargeable batteries must be refreshed on a regular basis. I have several trimmers, battery, electric and gas but I also have a lot of property. One of my trimmers is made by Black & Decker. At least 15 years old. Only expense is refilling the spool. Sometimes an extension cord isn't such a bad idea.
